Kobido Philippines
Privacy Policy
Effective 31 October 2026
Kobido Philippines ("Kobido PH", "we", "us") is a Japanese facial massage studio at Integrity Aesthetic and Wellness Center, Banawe, Quezon City. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you contact us, book a session, or buy skincare, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written to comply with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and the rules of the National Privacy Commission.
By sharing your details with us through any channel, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not share your information with us.
1. Where this policy applies
It covers every way you reach us or we reach you:
- This website, kobidoph.com, including the booking calendar and the deposit form
- Instagram, including direct messages, comments, and story replies to @kobidoph
- Email, phone calls, text messages (SMS), Viber, WhatsApp, and other messaging apps
- In person at the studio, at events, or through a referral
- Payment confirmations sent through GCash or other payment apps
It does not cover Instagram, Cal.com, Google, GCash, or any other platform you use to reach us. Those companies collect information under their own privacy policies.
2. What we collect
Details you give us. Your name, mobile number, email address, Instagram handle, the content of your messages, your appointment preferences, skin concerns or health notes you choose to share, and the GCash reference number you enter to confirm a deposit. We never see or store your GCash PIN, bank card number, or account balance.
Details collected automatically. When you visit this website, our hosting provider, the booking calendar, and the Meta Pixel described in section 6 may record your IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, the pages you open, the buttons and links you click, and the date and time of your visit. This tells us the site is working, protects it from abuse, and shows us which ads and posts bring people to the studio.
Details from other platforms. When you message us on Instagram, Meta shares your public profile and the conversation with us. When you book through our calendar, Cal.com sends us the booking details you entered.
3. How we use your information
- To reply to your message and answer your questions
- To schedule, confirm, reschedule, or cancel your session and to match your deposit to your booking
- To process skincare orders and arrange pickup or delivery
- To keep a client record so we can recognise returning clients and tailor your sessions
- To send reminders, follow-ups, aftercare notes, and updates about your booking
- To tell you about new sessions, packages, skincare, and studio news, unless you opt out
- To keep the studio, the website, and your information secure and to prevent fraud
- To comply with Philippine law, including tax and record-keeping rules
We process your information with your consent, to carry out the service you asked for, to meet our legal obligations, and for our legitimate interest in running and promoting the studio.
4. How we stay in touch, and how to opt out
When you reach out, we may reach back. If you contact us or leave your details with us through any channel, we may reply and follow up through that same channel or any other contact method you have given us, including Instagram, email, phone, SMS, Viber, or WhatsApp.
Studio news and offers. Unless you tell us otherwise, we may also send occasional messages about new treatments, packages, skincare, and events. We keep these infrequent and relevant.
You can opt out at any time. Any of the following works:
- Reply STOP, or simply say you would like no more messages, to any text, Viber, WhatsApp, or Instagram message from us
- Click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email
- Message us on Instagram at @kobidoph or email [email protected] and ask to be removed
We will stop marketing messages within 10 business days of your request. Texts and chat messages usually stop immediately. You may still receive messages about an upcoming booking, a deposit, an order, or a legal notice, because those are part of the service you asked for. Opting out of one channel does not opt you out of the others unless you ask us to stop everything.
Messaging costs. Standard carrier rates for texts and data apply. Consent to receive messages is never a condition of booking or buying from us.
5. Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information for money. We share it with the services that help us run the studio, and with Meta for the advertising described in section 6:
- Cal.com powers our booking calendar and stores your appointment details
- Google (Forms, Sheets, Gmail, and Google Fonts) stores our client and booking records and delivers our emails
- Cloudflare hosts this website and protects it from attacks
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) carries our direct messages, and through the Meta Pixel on this website receives information about your visit so we can measure and target our ads, as described in section 6
- GCash and other payment providers process your deposit; we only receive the reference number and amount
- Integrity Aesthetic and Wellness Center, the clinic that hosts our studio, where needed to manage the space and your appointment
- Advisers and authorities, such as our accountant, lawyer, or a government agency, when the law requires it or to protect our rights and safety
Each provider may use your information only to provide its service to us. Some of them store data outside the Philippines, mainly in the United States and Europe. We choose providers that commit to recognised data-protection standards.
We may also share aggregated figures that cannot identify you, such as the number of bookings in a month.
6. Cookies and similar tools
This website uses cookies and similar tools for two purposes: to make the site work, and to measure our advertising.
Cookies the site needs. The Cal.com booking calendar sets cookies to remember your time zone and your progress through a booking. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, sets cookies to keep it secure and online. Without these the booking flow will not work properly.
The Meta Pixel. Our website pages load the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. This policy page is the exception and does not load it. It records that you visited and what you did on the page, and it sets cookies in your browser under our own domain. We use it to see how many people our ads bring to the site, to understand which ads work, and to show follow-up ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who have visited us. Meta uses the same information for its own advertising and analytics purposes, as set out in the Meta Privacy Policy. Under some privacy laws this counts as sharing your information for targeted advertising.
How to turn it off. You can do any of the following:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the booking calendar may then stop working
- Change your ad settings with Meta to limit how your activity is used for ads
- Opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance or the Network Advertising Initiative
- Limit ad tracking or reset your advertising identifier in your phone or tablet settings
- Use a browser that blocks trackers, or turn on its Global Privacy Control setting, which we treat as a request to stop using your information for targeted advertising
Turning off the pixel does not stop you from booking, buying, or hearing back from us. We do not currently use Google Analytics or any other behavioural analytics tool. If we add one, we will update this section first.
7. How long we keep your information
- Messages and enquiries: up to two years after our last exchange, unless you become a client
- Client and booking records: for as long as you remain a client, and up to five years after your last session, so we can honour packages, keep aftercare history, and meet tax and record-keeping rules
- Deposit and payment records: ten years, as required by Philippine tax rules
- Opt-out requests: kept for as long as needed to make sure we continue to honour them
When a record is no longer needed, we delete it or strip out anything that could identify you.
8. How we protect it
Our records live in password-protected accounts with two-factor authentication, access is limited to the practitioner and studio staff who need it, and the website is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute protection, but if a breach affects your information we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission within the time the law requires.
9. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to:
- Be informed about how we use your personal information, which this policy does
- Access the information we hold about you and receive a copy
- Correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date
- Object to processing, including for direct marketing
- Erase or block your information where it is no longer needed or was unlawfully processed
- Data portability, meaning a copy in a commonly used electronic format
- Damages for harm caused by inaccurate, incomplete, or unlawfully obtained information
- File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph
To exercise any of these rights, message us on Instagram at @kobidoph or email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request". We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We respond within 15 business days, and sooner where we can. We will never charge you or treat you differently for exercising your rights.
If you are contacting us from outside the Philippines, you may have additional rights under your local law, and we will honour them where they apply.
10. Children
Our sessions and products are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian's consent. If you believe a minor has shared information with us, tell us and we will delete it.
11. Call and message records
We keep a record of our conversations with you so we can look back at your preferences, bookings, and aftercare notes. We do not record phone calls. If we ever use automated tools to help draft replies or summarise messages, a member of the studio reviews anything sent to you.
12. Changes to this policy
When we update this policy we will change the effective date at the top. For significant changes we will tell you on the website or by message before they take effect.
